Slime Care

With proper care, slimes can last for a few months. However, it is normal for slimes to deflate or melt over time due to the nature of slime ingredients.

If your slime arrives too firm, allow it to warm up for a few hours to a few days and it should soften with time and play. Be careful not to overheat and melt your slime.

If your slime arrives too sticky, you can activate it with a borax solution. Dissolve 1/2 tsp of borax powder in 1 cup of warm water and add a little at a time until you reach desired consistency.

  • Keep slime in its sealed container in a cool, dry place when not in use
  • Wash your hands before and after you play with slime.
  • Play on a clean, smooth surface

If slime gets in hair, immediately rinse with warm water and rub along the length of the hair repeatedly until it is rinsed out. Brush area to remove any remaining particulate.

If slime gets on clothes or other fabric items, scrape off any excess with a thin edged, but not sharp, object like a butter knife, spoon, or credit card. Try not to push it into the fibers. Under cold running water, scrub at it with a soft brush like an old toothbrush. If there are any further bits of slime left, soak just the slimed section in a bowl of distilled white vinegar for 5-10 minutes. After the slime is removed, wash as normal to remove any staining. Check the spot and rewash as necessary before putting it in the dryer, as hot air will set the stain. If slime has dried, press ice cubes into it until you are able to remove it, then repeat above process.
